This week I talk with the Neuroscience expert, coach and leadership expert Ann Betz about how understanding our brain helps us to be better versions of ourselves. How dealing with stress is a necessary condition for soulful leaders and how we can all learn to integrate our whole brain (including everything in our body) into our best selves.
Ann is the co-founder of BEabove Leadership and a much respected international speaker, trainer and consultant and a certified professional coach for 20 years already.
Where in the field of leadership, neuroscience is ‘ hot ‘ at the moment Ann has been studying this for almost 15 years already and developed highly successful training programmes on the intersection of Neuroscience, Coaching and individual and organisational transformation.
Ann was a faculty member and served as the neuroscience consultant to world’s leading Coaching School (CTI) for many years. She provides neuroscience, leadership and coaching consulting to many other corporations and non-profits.
She is the author of many publications .You can find her blogposts here . And as if she does not have enough talents already she is also a published poet, using her understanding of the brain and consciousness to bring to life the wonders of the human soul.
Being a student in one of her programmes myself I can wholeheartedly say that Ann has an extraordinary talent in making the complexities of the brain come to life with depth, humor and simplicity and you can find out yourself in this week's episode!

You can recognise toxic leaders in your organisation: leaders that repeatedly and consistently cause stress on your nervous system are toxic leaders.
Wellbeing is no ' nice to have' , from an organisational systemic point of view not caring about the wellbeing of your people would be like having the most expensive Stradivarius violins being thrown in a corner.
Managing your stress is a necessary condition for Soulful leadership but it is not enough. Finding your own ' just right' amount of stress is crucial as a first step to become more soulful as it highly impacts your ability to show up as the best version of yourself.
